CanCham PRD Visit with Liwan District Leadership 

On January 5th, the CanCham PRD  had the honor of being invited by the Organization Department of LIWAN District Committee, Guangzhou, to join a group of overseas expert talents in inspecting the economic development of LIWAN District.

The inspection team visited emerging industries and cultural tourism projects such as Yunku Creative Valley, Baie Tan Business District, Guangzhou Thirteen Hongs Museum, and Yongqing Fang, gaining first-hand insights into Liwan District's development prospects and geographical advantages. In the future, Liwan District will continue to enhance the core engine function of Baie Tan Business District, promote the aggregation of high-end elements in the Hailongwei Science and Innovation Zone, and deeply cultivate the cultural heritage of the Liwan Cultural and Commercial Tourism Vitality Zone to nurture a favorable business environment.

1月5日，珠三角加拿大商会荣幸地受广州市荔湾区委组织部邀请，与一众海外专家人才一起考察了荔湾区的经济建设情况。

考察团参观了云酷科创谷、白鹅潭商务区、广州十三行博物馆和永庆坊等新兴产业和文化旅游项目，实地考察并深入了解荔湾区的发展前景、区位优势。在未来，荔湾区将持续增强白鹅潭商务区核心引擎功能、推动海龙围科创区聚集高端要素、深耕荔湾文商旅活力区文化传承，以培育优厚的营商沃土。

During the visit to Yunku Creative Valley, the delegation learned about its market positioning and development direction. Established in Liwan District in 2017, this park has attracted renowned enterprises such as Vipshop and Da Can Lin to settle within its premises. Subsequently, the delegation visited Yongqing Fang and Guangzhou Thirteen Hongs Museum, located in the historical and cultural district of Enning Road in Liwan District. Guided by the interpreters, we gained detailed insights into the revitalization of the old Liwan city and a deeper appreciation for Lingnan traditional culture, reflecting on the future development of the historical cultural district, which integrates tradition with modernity.

考察团一行来到云酷科创谷参观，了解其市场定位、发展方向等情况。该园区于2017年在荔湾区正式成立，吸引了唯品会、大参林等著名企业在该园区入驻。随后，考察团前往位于荔湾区恩宁路历史文化街区的永庆坊和广州十三行博物馆。在讲解员的介绍下，我们详细了解荔湾老城市新活力引领区建设，对荔湾身后的岭南传统文化底蕴有了更深刻的感受，对融合了传统与现代的历史文化街区未来发展有了更深刻的思考。
