Adam Turnbull is President and one of the founders of CanCham PRD. He oversees the Executive Team and serves as spokesperson, championing the mission of CanCham PRD to various stakeholders in government and the private sector.
Originally from Perth, Ontario, Adam has a storied history of 14 years in China working in multiple industries. He currently serves as VP of Global Strategy at ASK Idea Group in Guangzhou, an EdTech Incubator and education solutions provider he Co-Founded in 2006. He has a passion for mentoring start-up founders and knows first-hand the benefits of Chinese-Canadian collaboration.
In 2017 Adam received the Recognition Award of Entrepreneurial Achievement Under 35at the 4th Annual Transpacific Entrepreneurial Conference. The award, presented by the Hong Kong Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Hong Kong - Canada Business Association, bolstered his reputation as a leader in the Canadian business community of South China.
A fluent Mandarin and Cantonese speaker, Adam has a deep understanding of the local market in the PRD, previously working for several large foreign owned corporations where he sold directly to Chinese customers and helped build foreign brands in China from the ground up. Adam has an impressive business network in the Guangzhou area and has become an expert on localizing operations and managing a multicultural workforce.

Robert Turnbull, Secretary Treasurer of CanCham PRD is responsible for overseeing the organization’s finances, budgeting and administration.
Born in a small town outside of Ottawa called Perth, Ontario, Robert graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Guelph with a major in Housing & Real Estate Management before coming to China in 2004.
Robert began his career with commercial real estate and investment giant CBRE, working in their Guangzhou office and specializing in logistics and office space. After 2 years of experience in the corporate world, he left CBRE to open up The Brew; a Canadian style restaurant and bar. The Brew quickly expanded to four locations across Guangzhou and Shenzhen becoming a widely recognized brand and social hub for the expat community, especially Canadians.
Robert describes himself as a serial entrepreneur and over his 14 years in the PRD has been involved in countless projects across several industries. His other ventures include Whispers, a speakeasy style whiskey bar in Panyu hidden discretely above Kung Food, a fast food restaurant serving western style Chinese food which he also owns. Rob recently opened Bandidos Mexican Cantina, an authentic Mexican restaurant & bar located in the heart of Zhujiang New Town.
Robert previously served on the planning committee for the Guangzhou Terry Fox Run and has become a well-known figure in the Guangzhou expat community.
Alexander Von Kaldenberg

Alexander is one of the founders of the PRD Canadian Network and current CanCham PRD Executive Team member. Originally based in Guangzhou, Alexander now lives in Shenzhen where he is helping the CanCham PRD expand its presence.
Originally from Vancouver, Alexander received an International Relations Degree from the University of British Columbia and worked for the UBC Central Development Office, then Sauder School of Business, before moving to China in 2011. In Guangzhou he founded an education consulting business that specialized in developing “Educational Roadmaps” and “Personal Resumes” for children planning on studying in British Columbia. After living in China for 7 years, Alexander has developed a unique perspective on business and life in the region.
Alexander entered the blockchain & technology space in 2016, serving as spokesman for several tech companies and helping promote their technologies throughout Asia. He was later named interim CEO of DACSEE, a Malaysian tech company which raised more than $30 million to fund their decentralized UBER alternative.
When Alexander arrived in Guangzhou in his mid 20’s he noticed a severe lack of resources for Canadian professionals, this motivated him to join the CanCham PRD Executive Team. Today he continues to use his passion for the non-profit industry, entrepreneurship and fitness to make CanCham PRD an invaluable resource for the Canadian community.

As a member of the CanCham PRD Executive Team, Mary is responsible for promoting the CanCham PRD Brand, recruiting new members and liaising with local corporations and other Canadian Organizations.
Mary graduated from the Sauder school of business at UBC and returned to China where she began her career in Shenzhen’s exploding financial services industry. Her first hand experience with Chinese investors and vast local network of banks, securities, trusts and private equity companies makes her a valuable asset to CanCham PRD at the corporate level. Mary later co-founded Sino-HK investment Holdings Group Limited where she currently serves as General Manager. The company mainly focuses on overseas Merger & Acquisition, LNG and Crude Oil trade.
In 2016 Mary got involved with CanCham PRD where she plays a major role in bringing fellow Canadian Alumni into the network. She is an important part of CanCham PRD’s presence in Shenzhen and is a big supporter of the wider Canadian business community in the Pearl River Delta.

Jenny is one of the original founders of the PRD Canadian Network and current Executive Team Member. Originally she is from Vancouver, British Columbia where she gained wide ranging F&B and Events Management experience in the Golf Industry.
In 2012 Jenny moved to Guangzhou to continue growing and gain international experience in hospitality. For 6 years she was The Director of Guest Relations at the Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre and developed deep ties with the community in Guangzhou to create unique events of a wide spectrum. Jenny spend her last 6 months in China as the Director of Business Development for the newly opened Hard Rock Hotel in Shenzhen.
Jenny is now based in Hanoi Vietnam, but remotely in support of the PRD Canadian Network and growing relations with Canadians in business in The PRD as well as all over Asia.

People who know Kara Wutzke call her a superhero — or for the thousands she has helped, ‘their’ superhero and savior. Strong, kind, caring, empathetic and motivated, she has all the physical strength of Superman and all the emotional strength of Wonder Woman. You'd be hard pushed to find a better or more inspiring coach.
The Victoria BC native is founder and Head Coach of K2Fit. Founded in 2011, K2Fit is specializes in physical training boot-camps that combine professionally designed workout plans with an online platform and community of support. She is a very well-known face in Guangzhou's Canadian business community, having been living and working in Guangzhou since the early 2000's.
For Kara, working with CanCham PRD is all about supporting fellow expat entrepreneurs and helping them find the same success that she has in the PRD. During her many years in Guangzhou she has been overwhelmed by the willingness of people in the PRD to build each other up and lend a hand in personal and professional growth.
Cameron is the General Manager of CanCham PRD, responsible for day-to-day operations, content creation and working alongside the exec team to deliver high-quality member services.
Born and raised in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Cameron studied Economics and Chinese at Saint Mary’s University before coming to Guangzhou in 2015 as an exchange student. Cameron finds helping others overcome culture and language barriers extremely rewarding and this challenge is what drives him to live and work abroad.
Cameron’s experience as a research assistant at Dezan Shira & Associates in Guangzhou has given him a clear understanding of the challenges faced by foreign companies as they set up and expand their business activities in China. As a project manager at HY Investments he was responsible for helping Chinese investors locate and evaluate foreign investment opportunities in Europe, Australia and North America. His experience on both sides of transactions between Chinese and foreign companies helps him see the full picture when it comes to International commerce.
As General Manager of CanCham PRD, Cameron takes great pride in serving as a bridge between the businesses of Canada and the Pearl River Delta, using international trade and investment to bring the two worlds a little bit closer together.
